Rhyley Pitts was born on December 14, 2005. She is the oldest of three children. Rhyley is in the 2024 graduation class. She trains about 20 hours per week at World Class Gymnastics Center under coaches Patrick, Donna, and Laura. Rhyley maintains straight "A"s while balance life in the gym. She looks forward to 6th grade next school year and taking Honors classes.HOW DID SHE GET STARTED....At the age of four, was watching an episode of Curious George and he was doing flips. She looked over at her mother and said she wanted to do gymnast. Being flexible at birth and now the desire to flip her mother was sure this would be the sport for her to explore. At the age of 4, Rhyley began taken recreational class but soon captured the attention of the team coaches. She was pulled out after finishing one session then tried out for the "Developmental Team" pre-team. She has been training at World Class Gymnastics Center for her entire gymnastics career.In 2012-2013 Rhyley competed her first season as a level 4 gymnast. 2013-2014 she repeated level 4 as the USAG skills/rules changed. She tested out of level 5 making her eligible to compete level 6 in early 2015. She tested out of level 7 at the start of 2016 with an AA score of 37.050.Rhyley currently is 11 years old Level 9 competitive gymnast. Her dedication and commitment has paid off as she went on to become Illinois State Champion on Beam and Floor in 2016. In 2016, she recognize as a TOP 100 gymnast in the United States on both beam and floor. In 2017, she made top 100 for beam, placed at state and moved on to regionals. At regionals, she scored the highest beam score from all the level 9s. She hopes to repeat a great season for the 2017-18 season. She has high hopes of becoming a state all around champion as a LEVEL 10 in her age group and represent region 5 at Nationals.
