When Colbi was 8, at her second level 7 meet, she scored a 9.7 on beam. She also won
every other event at that meet, including the all around. And if you think a 9.7 is
a huge score (especially on beam) wait until you hear that at Colbi’s 2012 level 8
regionals, she scored a huge 9.925 on beam! This score obviously earned her first
place on beam, crowning her the level 8 Junior A Region 3 beam champion. Not only
did Colbi get a 9.925 on beam, but she also scored a 9.725 on floor. She finished
second place in the all around.
Colbi competed level 9 at the 2013 Texas Prime Meet. She scored a 9.550 on beam earning
her third place and she also placed third all around. Colbi qualified to the Legendz
Classic that night and scored a HUGE 10.0 on her beam routine. Colbi instantly became
a crowd favorite and definitely one to look out for in the future. But her season
was just beginning... At her next meet she scored a 9.7 on beam and floor, again winning
first place. At the 2013 WOGA Classic she scored another huge 9.950 on beam, winning
the beam title and the all around title with a 38.325. Colbi competed at the 2013
Level 9 Region 3 Championships where she proved that she is not only a “beamer”, she
is also a fabulous floor worker. She scored a 9.9 on floor at regionals. She qualified
to the Western Championships where she ended her season finishing 12th all around
out of 49 girls in the junior A division.
