I’m currently a 12 year old MS Gymnast competing for Lanier’s Gymnastics with the hopes and dreams of one day competing Collegiate Level Gymnastics! I started out at Lanier's when I was 8 years old in recreational (starter) Gymnastics and quickly excelled to make the team. I started as a level 2 gymnast and competed at the age of 9. I became the MS state champion for my age and level! I knew at this time I was hooked and had a dream! I practiced really hard and moved up to Xcel Silver and competed the season. It was this year I scored 38.85 all around at State championship and became the Xcel Silver state champion for MS. I made the 1st spot on the state regional team! I struggled at my first regional meet and ended up placing last because of a fall on beam! I let my nerves get the best of me, but I wasn’t about to quit. That summer I worked hard and scored out of level 4 to compete Xcel Gold! I placed 1st all around at every meet except 1 (I was 2nd). I was once again the MS Xcel Gold State champion with the highest all around of 38.35. I obtained a total of 25 Gold Medals this season, and I made the 1st spot on the 2017 regional state team for my 2nd year in a row. I was not going to do as bad at Regionals this time, so I made that my goal. Solid clean routines and I did well. I got the silver on beam, placed on 3 events, and 9th all around! I worked extremely hard this last summer to score out of Level 5 and obtain the skills I needed to compete Level 7. It is with my amazing and supportive coaches at Lanier’s, I was able to achieve this. I’m now competing Level 7 and the 1st couple meets we’re rough but I will not stop here. I’m going to continue to work hard and do better at each meet! Stay tuned to follow my Gymnastics journey.
