Emma Otsu started gymnastics at 2 years old. At 7 years old she achieved TOPS Gold. At 8 years old she made TOPS B Team. When she was 9 she moved to Brestyan's American Gymnastics and trained under Mihai Brestyan. Emma Otsu qualified to the 2014 and 2015 Eastern Championships as a level 9. She later moved to California and competed level 10. In 2017 she was named to the Japanese National Team and competed in several international competitions. In 2018 she qualified to Level 10 J.O. Nationals. In 2019 she was Region 1 Beam Champion. Emma attends Bridgeway Academy and has committed to UC Davis. As a senior gymnast, Emma strives to be a positive role model at practice and in life and works hard to set a good example and support her fellow teammates and friends both inside and out of the gym. Emma is honored to be nominated for MSO gymnast of the year.
