2016 Winners

2016 SR Elite Winner

Simone Biles

World Champions Centre, Spring TX

Our 2016 International Gymnast of the Year Sr Elite Winner for a third year in a row! Simone has won just about everything there is to win and there was no question that she would win this title again. This field this past year was extra strong, much to do with the Olympic cycle, but Simone remained easily at the top of our selection. So congratulations to Simone for her accomplishments and of course congratulations to her coach, Aimee Boortman, and her entire support crew!

2016 Jr Elite Winner

Maile O'Keefe

Salcianu Elite Gymnastics, Henderson NV

We have had our eye on Maile for several years now. Maile exemplifies exactly what we are looking in a winner of this award: she trains hard, is dedicated to this sport, is a leader amongst her teammates, and she has a tendency to win! Maile, is the Top Jr in the country and won the 2016 P&G Championships this past year. Maile without question is our Jr Elite International Gymnast of the Year winner! Congratulations to Mailie, her family, and her coaches Tammy and Sorin Salcianu.

2016 JO Winner

Lundyn Vandertoolen

Olympus Gymnastics - Sandy UT

This is one very special kid. She is our pick for the JO Gymnast of the Year Award. Lundyn is a strong competitor in the sport of gymnastics but its not because of her wins at gymnastics meets that we picked her. Lundyn has a heart of gold and winning spirit unique to her own and Lundyn is adored by her team, coaches, and her piers. Lundyn goes to prove that we aren't just looking for someone who wins it all, she proves to all of us that you can win the International Gymnast of the Year Award with dedication, hard work, and with a heart of a champion. Congratulations Lundyn!
