My name is Mahleea Werline and I was born on October 6, 2005 in California to Meylin and Scott Werline. I have a brother, Hunter and have several bunnies, Snowflake, Ying, Yang Silver and more. When I am not training I love to draw, sew and swim. I am a 4.0 honor student, that also takes dance 6 hours a week. I will graduate from high school in 2023. My parents wanted me to get strong for dance, so they decided to enroll me into gymnastics when I was 18 mos. old. I have been training with coach Alison Vaughn my entire gymnastics career and wouldn’t want anyone else. I started competing as a level 4 gymnast gymnast in 2012 and then competed the new Level 3 where I earned silver medals on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. As a level 4 gymnast in 2014, I earned a bronze medal on uneven bars at the State Championships. After a couple of level 6 meets, in 2015, I moved on to compete Level 7, where I won the uneven State bars title with a 9.600. I qualified to the Level 7 Regionals where I placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.300, first on uneven bars with a 9.750 and second on floor exercise scoring a 9.725. In 2016 as a level 8 gymnast, I won the floor exercise title with a 9.700. I qualified to the Region 1 Championships, finishing second on balance beam and floor exercise and third on uneven bars. I moved up to level 9 for the 2017 season. At the State Championships, I finished third on floor exercise and fourth on vault. I qualified to the Region 1 Championships, finishing in the top ten in the all-around. I was alternate for the Level 9 Western Nationals. I was so excited to start my 2018 season obtaining my HOPES compulsory score with a 34.850. At the Level 9 State Championships, I finished second on uneven bars with a 9.525 and ninth overall. I did well at the Region 1 Championships, finishing sixth in the all-around with a 37.050 and third on floor exercise and qualifying to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Salt City Lake, UT and placed in the top ten in the all-around with a 37.275 and sixth on floor exercise. I train at Aftershock Gymnastics in Palm Desert, CA under coach Alison Vaughn. I dream of traveling the world as an elite gymnast and representing the United States not only at International assignments, but also at the 2024 Olympics. My long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
